A resistor encased in an aluminium housing normally having a flat base for mounting.
Aluminium encased resistors are wound with Copper Nickel or Nickel Chromium wire, on a ceramic core fitted with end caps, to obtain required resistance.
The winded assembly is then encapsulated in a anodized heat sink using high temperature moulding compound. |
